French polishing is a traditional method crafted by hand. This process allows you to achieve a mirror finish. Applied to all furniture but is mainly used on antique furniture.
Spray Lacquering
All types of lacquers are used. This process is carried out using a spray gun. You can also add stain to the lacquer to produce a tinted lacquer. This method is used on modern furniture.
Brush Lacquering
This method is applied by mop. Once applied, a pullover solvent is used to produce an immaculate even finish.
Staining & Colour Matching
Stains are used to colour any type of wood to the colour of your choice.
Bleaching
Bleaching is a process in which you apply bleach to wood in order to lighten the colour. This process can be carried out on any type of wood, antique or modern. This removes the stain from the wood and restores it to its natural colour.
Liming & Waxing
Liming is a paste typically used on oak. The grain is brushed out initially, then the liming is applied to the wood.
Waxing is a build-up of bee wax that is typically used on pine wood but can also be used after polishing or lacquering to give a wax finish.
