Ian Smith of I.S.French Polishing came to our house in order to repair a wooden floor that had been damaged by workmen redecorating the lounge. The damage was widespread and could only be carried out by a craftsman with specialist skills.

The firm involved in the redecoration accepted their responsibility and engaged Ian Smith to carry out the repairs. My wife and I were doubtful that the task could be done to restore the floor to it’s “as new” state as required by our original contract with the building firm.

After two days’ work we were delighted that the floor was once again as good as new and conveyed our 100% satisfaction. We are very grateful for the work that Ian Smith undertook.

I am writing to say how delighted I was with the polishing work you did for me recently. The old family table is like new again and I am very grateful for the devise you gave regarding the repair to the edging strip. The whole thing looks wonderful. My daughters and I were specially pleased with the restoration work and polishing of the farmhouse kitchen chair which has great sentimental value as it belonged to their grandmother. I know you went to a lot of trouble to dismantle it and re-set the legs and cross pieces so that it did not wobble.

Mr Ian Smith has carried out a vast amount of renovations on wooden (oak) floors throughout the above property together with French polishing on a number of pieces of furniture, this work has been excellent on all aspects.
